New fitted windows and doors requires the sealed units to have Low Emissivity (Energy Efficient) glass. When reglazing sealed units, we always check the type of existing glass to see “Low E” glass has been fitted. We make sure we match the existing glass due to “Low E” having a slight tint.
We are now being asked to replace all old existing sealed units (whether they have failed or not) with new “Low E” units as this keeps the heat out in the summer and the heat in during the winter.

Double Glazing Repairs
When reglazing failed double-glazed sealed units, we are asked if the following can be fitted: Noise Reduction glass, Burglar Proof glass, Anti-glare glass and even Triple glazing sealed units. The answer is yes to all this questions. Therefore, it is a trend now to remove sealed units that have lead diamond or squares fitted with plain clear glass and, when required, pattern glass in bathroom and toilets.
